Scotland commits to post-diagnostic support

28 March 2012 - Scotland's Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Health, Wellbeing & Cities has confirmed the Scottish Government’s guarantee of one year’s post-diagnostic support for people with dementia and their families. The guarantee means that everyone receiving a diagnosis of dementia in Scotland will have access to a year of support, from a named and trained individual, based on the Alzheimer Scotland Five-Pillar model.
