ADI call for nominations

18 October 2019 – ADI are seeking to recruit motivated and committed Board Members and a new Board Chair. This is an exciting opportunity for those that want to give their expertise, time and passion to make a difference for the 50 million people living with dementia globally.

We currently have a strong international Board that works closely with staff in London and across the world to bring relevant skills and experience to support our busy international organisation.

The role is voluntary and unremunerated.

Time commitment: 1-2 hours per week, plus attendance at the yearly Council and Elected Board meetings (6 per year and one in-person meeting). The role of Board chair requires more time.

ADI is calling for nominations for the following positions:

  • Board chair. The vacancy will be in 2021 but the election will take place in 2020 to allow the Chair Elect a year of preparation.
  • Treasurer
  • Three positions on the Elected Board

We welcome nominations for individuals outside of our membership.

Why should you join ADI’s Board? This is what our current Board members had to say:

“I think it’s very motivating work to be on the Board… It’s a very interesting international team.”

“It’s a very busy Board and a very busy office so there are many things to talk about… I feel that the longer I spend on the Board the more it becomes part of my regular thinking."

If you are interested in being put forward for one of the above positions, please contact your local Alzheimer association. All contact details can be found here. Alternatively, please contact us at info@alz.co.uk
