ADI welcomes new member associations

1 May 2014 - We are pleased to welcome associations from Morocco, Nepal, Monaco, Norway and Slovenia to ADI, bringing our membership to 84.

At the Board and Council meetings held in San Juan, Puerto Rico in connection with ADI's international conference, membership applications from Association Marocaine d’Alzheimer et Maladies Apparentées (AMAMA), Association Monégasque pour la recherche sur la maladie d'Alzheimer (AMPA), Alzheimer’s and Related Dementia Society Nepal, Nasjonalforeningen for folkehelsen and Slovensko združenje za pomoč pri demenci – Spominčica, Alzheimer Slovenija were approved.

Elections were also held at the Council meeting. Glenn Rees from Australia became chair-elect, and will take over from Jacob Roy in 2015. Andrew Ketteringham (UK) was elected as ADI's treasurer. Mariella Guerra (Peru) and Gerry Sampson (USA) were elected to the Board, and Markus Löfström (Finland) was reelected.

The Boad and Council also discussed ADI's future strategy and campaign plans.
