Previous World Alzheimer's Day™ campaigns

World Alzheimer's Day™ was launched on 21 September 1994 to mark ADI's 10th anniversary. The day is not an official World Health Organization (WHO) day, but it was launched with the support of WHO. ADI has been in official relations with WHO since 1996.
Since 1997, World Alzheimer's Day has been centred on a unifying theme. Each theme focuses on a key message about dementia. Previous themes have included:
- 2008 - No time to lose (Focus on carers)
- 2007 - No time to lose: People with dementia speak out
- 2006 - 100 Years of Alzheimer's disease: No time to lose!
- 2005 - We can make a difference
- 2004 - No time to lose
- 2003 - In perfect partnership
