Annual international conference

We hold an international conference each year, working with different member Alzheimer associations around the world. The conference is an opportunity to bring together everyone with an interest in dementia - staff and volunteers of Alzheimer associations, families, people with dementia, clinicians, interested professionals and scientists - to share and learn from one another.

25th International Conference of Alzheimer's Disease International:
Dementia: Making A Difference
10-13 March 2010. Thessaloniki, Greece

Preparations are underway for ADI's next international conference in March 2010. Based on the theme 'Dementia: Making a difference', the programme focuses on the latest developments in medical treatments, non pharmacological interventions and prevention, as well as sharing best practice in care. As we see more and more countries successfully bringing dementia to the attention of governments and public health bodies another exciting part of the conference will celebrate these successes and look at how they can be built on to make dementia a global health priority. Registration for the conference will open on 1 June 2009.

2009 Conference:

Over 1100 people attended the event in Singapore with the focus on engaging people with dementia, quality of care and science and creativity in dementia.
