Paul Inboriboon

Paul works in the information technology department for the National Office of the US Alzheimer's Association in Chicago. During his time at the Association he has learned a great deal about dementia and how it has affected family, friends, and co-workers.

Paul enjoys visiting new places and immersing himself in different cultures. Being a Thai-American, Paul has a great appreciation for culture and tradition. His parents made a concerted effort to merge aspects of their culture with American culture and traditions. After college, Paul backpacked across Europe for a month; learning about the history of the countries he visited. At his previous job, Paul traveled extensively and made time to see local sites and build relationships with individuals from different backgrounds.

He sees this climb as an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for a great cause while fulfilling and sharing a personal goal- to train to successfully reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. This is a way to honour millions around the world living with Alzheimer's disease, their families, and friends.

He is personally dedicating his hike to the memory of his wife's grandmother who had the disease - Minnie Johnson.

If you would like to sponsor Paul on the Ascent for Alzheimer's, please visit his fundraising page at www.alz.org/theclimb
