"The last piece", Jury Gregorio. Often when we are trying to accomplish something, it is the little things that make a difference. A smile. A "thank you" note. A pat on the back. A hug. It completes you as a person. In some way, it gives you pleasure and a sense of satisfaction. It can even be as simple as completing a jigsaw puzzle. In this photo, after more than an hour of making sense out of all the confusing parts and never giving up, she finally places the last piece that fits the puzzle. Triumphant!
"Nelly Stocker, Non Verbal Communication", Nicole Haas. Ruth Nelly Stocker lived from 1917 to 2005. For several decades she fought for a peaceful change in South Africa and campaigned for better conditions of life for the black population. She knew Nelson Mandela in person and collaborated with Bishop Desmond Tutu. Even when she was back in Switzerland she followed with great interest all the evolution in South Africa and got involved with the problems of developing countries. She lived for six years in the home "Doldertal", a home in Zurich for people with dementia.
